Measure the area in square feet, multiply by the depth in inches, and divide by 324. That is the number of cubic yards. Topsoil for grading usually goes down 3 to 4 inches, and it settles after watering, so round up.

Our topsoils are for grading, fill and sod. Our soil mixes blend leafpost into unamended topsoil for planting beds: Soil Mix is about 65% leafpost, Heavy Soil Mix about 50% and Extra Heavy Soil Mix about 30%.
Can I pick it up?
Yes. Bring an open-bed truck or trailer and our loader fills it. Bring a tarp. We cannot load bags, trash cans or other containers. Last will call is 4:00 pm Monday to Friday and 12:30 pm Saturday.

Our fleet of delivery trucks and trailers can accommodate any quantity of material you need, starting with one cubic yard, there is no minimum quantity to deliver. A minimum delivery charge of $75 applies to all orders.
Delivery time estimates are 7:30am–12pm OR 12pm-4pm, Monday thru Friday & 7:30am–12pm Saturday. These times are approximate only, not a guaranteed time of arrival.
If you prefer, we are happy to load your open bed truck or trailer. We strongly recommend that you bring a tarp to cover the material after it's loaded. We cannot allow self-loading or filling of bags, trash cans, containers, etc. Thank you for your understanding!!
